Teaching is very important for the transformation of life from one stage to another and from one form to another. Sometimes what we understand by the term teaching means providing the skills and knowledge by the teachers and it is one way traffic. But in the world of IT and communication, teaching is not one way but it is an interaction. If a teacher is interacting in the classroom s/he not delivers what he knows but learns a lot from the children as the kids are from various family, cultural, educational, social and economic background, they are source of knowledge and inspiration for the teachers. As the proverbs goes many heads many minds, the children may have more knowledge than the teachers as it is now proved that the children are not the blank paper, there is already some ingredients in coma state and what the teacher has to do is to activate those ingredients.
Teaching in Nepali classrooms is very much interesting and knowledge gaining for the volunteers. It helps them to learn Nepali, language, culture, festivals, customs and family structures in Nepal and teach the children the modern technology. It helps the volunteers to compare and contrast between the education system in their country and Nepal and give them good insight of education system in Nepal. Therefore, we encourage volunteers to involve in teaching in the classroom.
